Membership of the British Watch and Clock Makers' Guild is by election and is only open to those professionally engaged in a branch of horology or its allied crafts.

The Guild undertakes a yearly repair price survey, to which all members are requested to respond. The results of this survey are included in the Guild year book (The Green Book) which is sent to all paid up Guild members during spring or early summer each year. The Green Book also contains classified lists of members offering specialist services to the trade and other information The Guild also publishes and circulates to members three News Letters a year (Time Piece).
Members are able to use the Guild Emblem on their personal letterhead and business card. Various other items such as valuation forms, window stickers etc. are available to members from the Guild at cost. Links to members web sites are included on this web site free of charge to members.

Application for membership must be accompanied by a cheque in payment for the first year's subscription plus a one off administration fee of £5.00 If an application is approved after October the following year's subscription is included in the initial payment.

Annual subscriptions are due during January each year, currently £52.00. There is also a 'one-off' administration fee of £5 for new members.

If for any reason an application for membership is rejected by the Guild Council the total sum paid with the application is refunded.
